Rebels claim a sweeping victory near Jiminez Chihuahua driving south for miles while Federals report partial gains. Heavy fighting lasts fourteen hours with artillery aircraft and machine guns. both sides claim large casualties. Rebel forces threaten Naco border as planes bomb Jiminez.
An American was wounded when two bombs dropped from a Mexican rebel aircraft exploded on the U S side of the border early today. Details remain unclear as the incident unfolds with continued coverage on page four.
Stiles and Van Kleek will design and supervise the expansion of Glen Arven Country Club to an eighteen hole course. John R. Atlanta reports that former Warden John W. Snook denies permitting women visitors at the Atlanta federal penitentiary during his tenure. DOJ agents reportedly interviewed inmates about the claim as Mrs. Mabel Willebrandt plans court action. Four aides were demoted to guard duty by order of Willebrandt.
The Department of Justice will not bring charges against Joan Snook former warden of the Atlanta penitentiary. Attorney General Mitchell said no record in the files questions Snook's integrity and stressed there is no plan for criminal prosecution.
