Thomasville News Honors Florida A&M Students in Who's Who List
Twenty eight Florida A and M University students were honored at a banquet for inclusion in the 1968 69 Who's Who edition. Nominees must maintain a 2.5 average, three or more campus organizations, 112 quarter hours, and three quarters residence. Also notes Dr. A Louise Blackwell of FAMU named Esso Faculty Fellow for 1969 71, with a $10 000 fellowship to develop thematic English teaching and revise courses.

Albany State College program yields first ABEP graduate to gainful employment
Williams Henry Jackson of Colquitt Ga. becomes the program’s first graduate to find work at M and M Mars in the peanut craftsman division. His annual salary rises from under 2000 dollars to 4139 dollars, doubling his previous income. The pilot project began last September under Dr Eugene G Sherman.

VA Education Aid Limits And Insurance Options For Veterans
The VA outlines education assistance payments for less than half time study and confirms fixed monthly caps. It promotes the Modified Life Plan as the lowest premium permanent coverage before age 61 with a possible switch to ordinary life at 65. The VA explains pension eligibility based on gross income and notes a Jan 1 1968 increase to $2,000 for no dependent veterans. Georgia figures show 99.962 million distributed in 1968 to veterans and dependents, with 64,373 receiving service-connected or need-based pension payments, and 31,718 widows and dependents on rolls.
