Dr. Richard Metcalf and Miss Ethel Mildred Stevenson, both of Antrim, were married at Maplehurst Inn Antrim last Saturday at 5 PM. Rev. Charles Tilton performed the ceremony. Relatives from Wine ther, Dorchester, Malden, Somerville and Antrim attended. After a celebratory dinner the couple left for a mountain trip and will reside in Lakeville Mass after October 1.

A car on Beach road in Salisbury skidded on wet pavement Sunday morning and capsized. Driver Stanley C. Healer of Elmwood Avenue was not hurt, while passenger Thomas A. Egan of Siren Street suffered a lacerated ankle and was taken to Anna Jacques Hospital in Newburyport. Passenger William J. Godfrey of Almont Street was present.

Fire destroys home of Dr. H. A. Kelley at 200 Pleasant St
A blaze starting from a defective chimney gutted the home of Dr. Harvey A. Kelley at 200 Pleasant Street on a Sunday morning. Two alarms sent the town’s fire apparatus to the scene as flames spread through lower floors to the roof, with Mrs Ella A. Kelley home at the time and other family members in church. The interior and furnishings were practically destroyed.

Teamwork Aids Capture Of Hit And Run Suspect
Patrolman Joseph Schwamb at Station 7 East Boston and traffic officer Philbrook at Orient Heights acted quickly after Winthrop police reported a hit-and-run with out of state plates. Schwamb relayed the alert via the private phone to Philbrook, who stopped a New York plated car within five minutes matching the description. Four people were driven to the street when a fire in a two story wooden house at 225 Pleasant Street spread from an unknown bathroom source. Damage reached about $5000. Dr. Howard Reith, wife, child, and mother in law escaped. Harry Maskell of Ladder 2 was cut by glass and treated at Winthrop Community Hospital. The alarm was Box 55, the third in hours.
