Winthrop Hospital Building Fund Campaign Begins
A volunteer drive led by 40 captains aims to raise at least 125000 for a new Winthrop Community Hospital on Lincoln street. An educational campaign highlights the hospital’s 32 months of operation and plans, with a moving picture shown at Winthrop and Dream Theatres. A Baby Show at the hospital raises prizes, and a Citizens’ Mass Meeting at Winthrop Theatre marks the fund pledge start on Sunday evening.
