The Winthrop Trust Company in Winthrop Massachusetts seeks about 50 000 dollars to cover a portion of an over 1 900 000 dollar project. The bank plans to offer checking and savings accounts with a 5 percent rate recommended by the committee. The planned improvements will bring conveniences and a completion date is expected soon with invitations to inspect after completion.
Marjorie Page Sharp, daughter of Rev and Mrs Arthur Page Sharp, wed Albert Frederick Hoedtke of Cambridge at Winthrop First Methodist Episcopal Church. Officiant Bishop L J Birney, with Carlton Nason and a string quartet performing Barnby Oh Perfect Love and other pieces.
A large outdoor meeting at the Cliff House overlooking the Atlantic gathered male voters and about 1400 newly enfranchised women. Speakers from both parties, led by G Wallace Tibbetts, pressed candidates and urged women to vote independent of party to advance equality and end discrimination.
