Funeral for Lieut Daniel A MacCormack Held at Home
The body of Lieut Daniel A MacCormack formerly of Orient Heights was brought to his parents residence at 47 Shirley Street. Born in East Boston, he volunteered in World War I and served in the 320th Infantry 80th Division and later the 327th Infantry 82d Division. He was fatally wounded October 11, 1918 in the Argonne Forest. promoted to first lieutenant on October 28, 1918. Orient Heights Post dedicated a memory square in East Boston. He leaves four brothers and his parents.

Herman W. Kachmeister of Winthrop, a Medal of Honor recipient for action at Cienfuegos Harbor on May 11, 1898, was elected adjutant at the Boston convention. He has led Bayley Camp 6 and the Winthrop Spanish War Veterans, works in East Boston immigration service, and is married with two children.

Robert N. Evans known as Buck Evans is mislisted as a non responder in Division 26. He enlisted in the navy on June 10 1917 before the draft, served overseas, and remains in the Naval Reserve. Evans is a Winthrop Post member and father of two, with two brothers Hubert and John also serving in the navy and infantry.
