Theodore Ted McKinley son of Mr and Mrs RG McKinley of 26 Centre Street will graduate from Worcester Poly Institute with a BS in Chemistry with distinction. He worked forty hours weekly to finance his education and earned the Thomas M Rogers and Alzirus Brown scholarships. He played on the cross country and track teams and captained championship basketball and track squads. He will join Krebs Pigment and Color Corp a duPont subsidiary as a research chemist after graduation. He is a Winthrop High School graduate 1931 and formerly Camp Powow Boy Scout counselor.

Duncan elected commander of Massachusetts Ancient and Honorable Artillery

Death of Winthrop Principal Loomis Mourned by Town
Principal Frederic C. Loomis of Winthrop Senior High died Saturday after a two week illness at his home 138 Court Road. Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. in the First Church of Winthrop with hundreds of students teachers and town officials in attendance. Flags flew at half staff and a guard of honor from the senior class accompanied the bier as the community mourned a beloved leader.
