Selectmen Action Tightens Town Traffic and Dog Licensing

The Board of Selectmen ordered speeding limits raised to 20 mph with new parking signs to be posted this week. They urge no court action but enforce bylaw compliance. Police warn of licensed dogs and require owners to license or face court. biting dogs cited. March 21 deadline for licensed owners.

The Auxiliary reports successful Whist Parties with winners named for Monday and Thursday events. A poster for Lets Go promotes a local performer, Miss Kitson, amid praise for Point Shirley talent. Judge Brown Sits On Bench In East Boston Court

Esteemed townman Hon Charlee J Brown has presided at the East Boston District Court the past two weeks. He has heard many cases and reported they have been heard fairly and with careful consideration.

Fair draws crowds at 18th and 19th editions

The fair proved a great success financially and socially. Grabs proved an especial attraction and the clams dug and sold aided the boys in earning money for chowder and other meals. Sunday night vesper service was led by Mr Swint with Mr Giroux assisting.

Residents who missed the July 4th procession can catch stills and footage at Winthrop Theatres next Monday and Tuesday. Eddie Foye promotes attractions with 1000 feet of film of soldiers and sailors, urging early viewing for crowded showings and the chance to spot parade moments on screen.
