39th Anniversary Of D A R Chapter
The Deane Winthrop Chapter D A R marked its 32nd anniversary on January 11 at Bea con Villa with hostesses and a 2:00 pm meeting led by Regent Mrs. Ethel Waddell. The chapter funded Hillside School for Boys Marlboro, the Massachusetts Student Loan Fund, and the Winthrop Historical and Improvement Association. It sponsors a high school girl for the Good Citizenship Pilgrimage and collected donations for Ellis Island hospital for seamen and coast guardsmen. The Regent mourned member Mrs. Mary M. Spear and noted charter member Mrs. Marietta S. Moore remains active in Winthrop.
