Red Cap Christmas Party At Cottage Park Yacht Club

Charles A Williams head of the C M Kimball Co hosted a Christmas gathering for factory and office staff and salesmen and spouses at Cottage Park Yacht Club on Dec 24. Bowling games entertained attendees with loud merriment as the party concluded.

Contemptible prank triggers false fire alarm

A caller phoned the Fire Department about a fire at the corner of Shirley and Forrest streets claiming a blaze in progress. Fire units responded in freezing weather only to find no fire, mislabelled as a large alarm upon return. Also noted are rail tickets on the Winthrop circuit and Ham's Stores ice cream delivery.

Death of Mr. Wm N Jenkins Dated Dec 27

Mr Wm N Jenkins a longtime Winthrop resident and former Weston's Bakery proprietor died at his home 175 Pleasant street after about a week of illness. Death was attributed to heart trouble. He had lived in Winthrop since 1895 and built a career in baking including the Weston’s Bakery era near Boston.
