Lang Overcome by Gas at Winthrop Center Store
Shoe merchant Russell A. Lang was overcome by gas early Wednesday while in his Winthrop Center store cellar. He was revived by the fire department inhalator and taken to Community Hospital, where his condition was reported satisfactory. Gas had leaked from a broken line on Jefferson Street into the building’s foundation. repairs were begun promptly.
