Winthrop High School Stage Hits With Charm School Play
The Winthrop High Senior Class presented The Charm School in four acts at the Winthrop Theatre last Friday. Miss Clara M. Spence coached the production with Miss Pigon and Miss Cook delivering standout performances. The school orchestra under Principal N. Elliot Willis provided the musical accompaniment as the cast, including John F. Martin Grace F. Pigon and Guy H. Lothrop Jr., drew praise for a lively, well received show.

St John the Evangelist Sunday School Hosts Christmas Tree
Last Sunday morning after the children mass and Sunday School, Supt Edward F. Sullivan and teachers led classes to St John s Hall on Lincoln St where a large decorated Christmas tree with colored lights was erected on the stage. Pastor Rev John T O Brien authorized the event with Santa Claus who attended and brought happiness to nearly 1000 children and adults. A program was enjoyed and each child received a candy filled Christmas box.
