Collins Leads Henigan To The Tape In Local Tercentenary Road Race
Earl Collins of Medford unattached won the 10 mile handicap race staged by the Winthrop Tercentenary Athletic committee overcoming Jimmy Henigan of Medford who ran from scratch. Henigan set a time record of 54 minutes 51 seconds in hot conditions. The finish was at the Winthrop Golf Club with a large crowd along the route from Town Hall to the course. Clarence H. DeMar and Hinky of Medford were notable contenders in a strong field.

Colonel Greig Jr of Fort Banks has been appointed by the War Department to represent the government in the planned widening of Revere street. He will confer with town engineer Channing Howard on lines and grades before work begins.
