Death at Winthrop dance ends joyous night
Joseph Spinale, 34, of Everett, a guitarist with the Pleasant Park Yacht Club orchestra, collapsed and died on stage during the first number of a summer dance. Police and doctors attributed the death to a heart attack as more than 100 youths watched in Winthrop. The program was halted and later resumed with the rest of the evening canceled.
