More than seventy five new Scout masters arrive at Fort Banks to undergo three days of intensive training in Boy Scouting fundamentals. They will live in military barracks under Col. Charles E. Kilbourne, with programs on aims policies teaching Scouting and troop discipline.

Mrs. Fannie F. Prior of 25 Winthrop street lives in Winthrop as a descendant of the Acton Minute Men who fired the first shot at the Concord fight. Her mother is Mrs. Hunt. The Hunt house in Acton and the Capt. Davis house still stand. Prior’s father was a Civil War veteran, a Corporal in Co. E of the 6th Massachusetts Infantry, who witnessed mobbing in Baltimore.

Rivers in court on auto larceny charge in East Boston
Austin D. Rivers aged 32 of 22 Winthrop Shore Drive is charged in East Boston District Court with larceny of an automobile valued at 1000 from John J. Kelley of 205 River Road. He pleaded not guilty and is held for a Friday hearing after allegedly breaking into Kelley’s garage on February 8 and stealing the car, which was found wrecked in Eastondale.
