Over 100 employees and their wives attended, with decorations in Hood colors and music by the orchestra. Charles B. Burk 66 and his wife Mary E. Burk 66 were found dead in their bedroom at 162 Shirley Street in what authorities call a gas poisoning likely from a gas log. Their son Charles H. Burk Jr. reported the deaths after a call from Joseph Abrams. medical examiners planned autopsies at North Grove Mortuary.
