Couple Celebrates 56th Anniversary with Family Reception

Mr. and Mrs. William P. Natale marked their fifty sixth wedding anniversary on Monday April 7 1941 with a 6 30 pm buffet for immediate family and an informal reception. Neighbors friends and relatives gathered at their home to greet the couple. The scene featured a decorated cake and floral bouquets including a box of fifty five talisman roses. Their son Gus showed moving pictures from a trip to Texas and Mexico while Mrs Peggy Natale hosted with help from daughter Marguerite.

Boys Invited To Join Legion Band

William J. Cawthorne announces on behalf of the local Legion Post that boys aged 10 to 15 are invited to join the Sons of the American Legion Band. Rectifiers meet Wednesdays at 7 p m at the Legion Dugout on Herman Street under Walter Smith, noted New England cornetist and band leader.

He speaks on Food for the Small Democracies, raising awareness for Finland Norway Holland Belgium and Central Poland and the need for neutral aid to protect food supplies and deliver relief through blockades.
