Fargo June 27 The Nonpartisan league leader A C Townley calls a state convention in Minot on July 11 at 2 PM to ratify or reject a Kansas forged agreement with the agricultural workers union. The plan would create a Northwest labor supply through the agency for farmers while restricting strikes and wage debates. Other ratification meetings follow in Valley City Bismarck and Devils Lake on July 12 13 and 14.

King School Closes Its Year With Big Picnic
The King school near Valley City held closing exercises in an Axel Nelson farm grove on the Sheyenne river. Miss Agnes Selbo led the program of playlets and dances with Supt. Minnie J. Nielson and Miss Annie Baillie in attendance. After refreshments families enjoyed outdoor games and ice cream. The Valley City Chautauqua opens June 29 with the University of North Dakota concert band, poet James W. Foley, and the Carmody Concert company among the attractions. July 4 to 15 feature racing at Barnes County fair, a war drama titled WOMANHOOD, and a demonstration drill by Company G before the front. July 9 Water Carnival Day showcases the Sheyenne Fleet and prizes. July 12 Old Settlers' Day features Judge Robinson and a Western pioneer play, with a dramatic defense by Company G. The final day July 15 includes a sermon by Rev. Father John A. Baker and Hon. J. F. T. O'Connor delivering Lincoln messages.
