A Mason service flag was dedicated at the Mason Temple with a program that opened with colors led by stewards and included remarks by Rev. L. Moultrie. The city school election re elected Mrs Westergaard and A P Paulaon, the only two regular ticket candidates. During the afternoon friends pushed for Mrs Featherstone, but Westergaard prevailed with 149 votes against 49 for Featherstone plus minor totals for other candidates and write ins.

Memorial Day Observed with Large City Parade
Memorial Day was celebrated with a bright afternoon parade led by Police Chief E R Swanson, the Municipal Band, Knights of Pythias Uniform Rank, and a large contingent of veterans. The procession included the K P lodge flag, Cross workers, and a white clad cheering crowd. Mayor J ess e S ash presided as Rev J S Wilds delivered an acclaimed Memorial Day address, graves were decorated at the cemetery, and a salute was fired over departed soldiers and sailors graves at the park bridge.

Motorcycle Crash Injures Local Youth on Fifth Avenue
Last Saturday evening a motorcycle driven by Ollie Nelson collided with a car driven by H C Dwight near the Sheyenne Flats. Nelson suffered severe facial cuts but is recovering under the care of Dr A W Macdonald at the Medical Block. No bones broken. President Kane to Speak at Valley City Convocation
