Moose campaign shifts to social reform themes in Oklahoma
Oklahoma City Oct 10 The Bull Moose campaign in the state veers from tariff and constitutional issues to social reform. Nels Darling argues for a graduated income tax and inheritance tax to fund government, rejects a free trade scare, and denies any deal with political machines. He stresses industrial policy and an industrial commission to regulate monopolies, while asserting the Bull Moose only seeks nine electoral votes for Roosevelt and allows free choice on other offices.
