Oklahoma city campaign to stop illegal hunting in eastern Oklahoma
A state campaign was launched to stop hunters invading eastern Oklahoma and shooting game before the fall season. Arrests were made of several hunting parties from other states near the border. Buck deer quail wild turkey hunting opens November 15 and runs to December 15 with one and a half per hunter. Female deer without horns have a 40 season. Antelope cannot be shot until after November 15 next year. Quail season extends to February with a 25-bird daily limit and 150 per season. Wild turkeys may be shot until January 1 with gobblers allowed March 15 to April 15. bag limit three turkeys. Extra deputy wardens were assigned to eastern Oklahoma districts to keep banders out of the state until opening.

Babe Scalded to Death in Oklahoma Tub Accident
In Nowata Oklahoma on November 2, a year-old child named Sue, daughter of Mr and Mrs Tom Roberta of Coody's Bend, fell into a tub of scalding water. The mother pulled the child from the tub but she died shortly after from injuries and shock.
