Wounded in pistol duel on Tulsa principal street
On Tulsa's main business corner at nine o'clock last night Fred Scott a longtime local merchant was shot in the leg but not fatally wounded. Hugh Hall son of J M Hall was arrested after the duel in which Hall fired four shots and Scott one. The dispute stems from a business transfer involving Scott's property and Mrs Scott.

Tragedy as 12 year old misfires shotgun killing two girls
Fred Stanart of Nowata Oklahoma pointed his father's shotgun at three seven year old girls after school. Bergie Nicholas and Madge Stevens died instantly while Edith Fisher was fatally wounded. The incident occurred at Aelwe seven miles southeast of Nowata as the girls returned home from school. The Stanart family and the Stevens family are locally prominent.
