Madame Steintiell May Be Released
In Paria on November 4, a new development arose in the Madame Steintiell trial when her attorney interrupted to present a letter from Jean Lefevre confessing involvement in the murder plot linked to her case. The letter led to the writer’s appearance, who claimed he and three accomplices killed Cromhell and Madame Joey Remorse, alleging coercion to confess. He was arrested for further investigation as the scene grew excitable. If true, the confession could affect Madame Steintiell’s release prospects.
