Nowata editor held on charge of murder
Nowata Oklahoma April 29 H O Jeffries editor of the Nowata Advertiser a Republican politician was bound over to the district court on murder charges in the death of Irene Goheen an advertising solicitor in his employ. He was held without bail by Justice Frank L Hill whose ruling followed a long standing feud with Jeffries. Bail efforts will be made tomorrow. The defendant claimed immunity from prosecution due to prior coroner testimony but the contention was overruled.
