Eight Die In Grand Trunk Rear End Collision
At Durand Michigan on August 2, a Grand Trunk passenger service collision left about eight dead and eight injured. A rear train struck sleepers in the other, the locomotive plowing through most of a sleeper. Fire followed, a Montreal woman identified as a victim among the charred remains.
