Printed and published every Thursday by George Sweeney. The Watonmay is a weekly paper at two dollars per annum, one dollar paid on subscribing and the other at six months. No discontinuation until arrearages are paid, minimum six months, postage risk for mail subscribers.
Northumberland County Orphans Court orders public sale of 112 acre tract in Point Township adjoining John Rockefeller and the late Thomas Grant estate by Thomas Gulick and Abraham Gulick estate administrators. The property includes a dwelling house, barn, orchard, with well and spring, on the Susquehanna River. Sale set for Saturday June 24 at the Gaskins house. terms to be announced.
Edward Moore announces the start of a tailoring business on Mill Street Danville next to Mrs Underwood’s tavern. He aims to satisfy customers with up to date fashions, moderate prices, and accepts merchantable produce for work. Public patronage solicited. Danville June 14 1826 tl.
A tract of about 500 acres on the south side of the North East Tranch of the Susquehanna River, two miles above Danville, adjoining John Boyd’s land and Aaron Gearhart’s occupation. Improvements include a good house, barn, orchard, 250 acres cleared, meadow land, prime bottom soil along the river. Formerly owned by Lindsey Coates, offered with indisputable title. Terms via Aaron Gearhart on the premises or Charles Moore.
A dated notice announces summons and executions scheduled for May 24 1826 with sale actions sought through the office handling the proceedings. The brief item indicates official process and property or rights being offered for sale.
The Subsc informs the public that he has purchased the right to manufacture and vend the Columbia county Baileys patent bedstead intended for the use of the sick and lame. Physicians who have examined it deem it the best improvement of the kind for its purpose. Orin Sholes Danville June 14 82d.

He offers wool carding at 6 to 8 cents per lb cash or produce, with 7 to 8 cents for notes at a year. finishing cloth, flannel and blankets with superior machinery to fulfill orders in the best manner.
Public vendue to be held at the subscriber's house near Danville on Saturday June 24 at 2 o'clock A M. Items: a sill with 60 gallons, heads, doubling kettles and mill apparatus, two good milk cows, a nearly new saw mill with saw and fittings, and associated toothing. Ludding roofed shed. A new weekly publication issued every Wednesday promotes virtue knowledge and amusement. It offers plant culture advice useful receipts foreign and domestic news and original literature. Eight pages bound edition at two dollars per year in city fifty cents semiannually elsewhere prepaid. Premiums totaling one hundred dollars are offered for original articles. A subscriber at the Schuylkill Coal Wharf Callowill Street near Fair Mount Water Works offers receiving and forwarding all kinds of produce iron and merchandise along the canal to Philadelphia Mount Carbon and intermediate places. Receipts bills of lading kept. weights and tolls recorded. goods weighed marked numbered. store on wharf end for loading and unloading at any tide. May 9 1826. May 24 3isq 4t.
Subscribs purchased from Edward Paine the right to manufacture and vend Dayton's patented straw cutting machine in Columbia Northumberland and Union counties. They offer ready made machines or the right to use them by township or by county in Union and Northumberland.
Orin Sholes and Robert Hazelett declare a new straw cutting machine as vastly superior in simplicity cost and operation. After four years in Massachusetts it spreads to Connecticut New Jersey and other states with strong local support in Columbia County where a straw presser adds further value. The Danville shop markets Ballaws patent threshing machines under the original invention authority. December 28 1825.
An 1826 advertisement for Dr Dyott medicines lists Robertson elixir stomach chhat tonics nerve cordial drops and worm lozenges with prices and local availability at 137 139 second and race streets Philadelphia and at John Moore Co Danville. It promises pamphlets in multiple languages and signed seals by the sole proprietor with claim of universal cures and nationwide sale through agents and druggists.
