John Moore and Co inform old friends they have received and opened at their store in Danville a neat assortment of merchandise including dry goods groceries fish paints and drugs on favorable terms for cash or country produce to accommodate customers and others in the county. May 24, 1826.

The subscribers, having purchased Edward A. Paine's rights to Dayton's Patented Straw Cutting Machine, offer to sell ready made units or rights by township or county in Union and Northumberland. The device, praised for simplicity and cheapness, is already used in Massachusetts and newer states, with a straw press addition improving the patent. They also manufacture Ballow's Threshing Machines at Danville.
