Supervisors OK Medicare ambulance fee hike
Warren County supervisors approved ambulance usage fees at 150 percent of the 2017 Medicare rate to boost EMS funding. The plan raises costs for out of county residents and those with private insurance, while in county residents incur no net increase as the county covers the gap. The change, plus a new oxygen charge, is expected to add about $20,000 in revenue for EMS equipment purchases.
