Virginia redistricting proposals may move Warren Shenandoah into 7th district
Two map proposals presented in Richmond would shift Warren and Shenandoah counties from the 6th to the 7th district. The Republican plan adds Winchester and multiple Frederick, Shenandoah, Warren, Page, Orange, Greene, Fauquier and Prince William counties, reaching to Stafford but excluding Fredericksburg. The Democratic plan mirrors much of the change but keeps Clarke County in the 10th district. The Virginia Redistricting Commission, eight lawmakers and eight civilians, weighs population changes from the 2020 Census.
