Front Royal plans Rivermont fire station replacement

Warren County officials will build a new state funded Rivermont Volunteer Fire Department station at Front Royal Warren County Airport within two years. The project costs about 1.2 million dollars with 200 thousand dollars for rear wall repairs. The repairs may rise if further problem details emerge. The Rivermont and Fort Portsmouth departments will not consolidate. A board hearing in May addressed this option. The current station will be shored up and studied while in use for two years.
