A former Front Royal clerk Jennifer Berry Brown sues the town for sexual harassment and wrongful termination. A four day civil jury trial is set May 31 through June 3 in Harrisonburg before U.S. District Judge Thomas Cullен. Filed Jan. 4, 2021 the suit names Front Royal elected officials and Virginia Risk Sharing Association as a second respondent. Brown seeks liability ruling on retaliation and failure to offer a public information officer post.
Warren County could gain from higher vehicle values driven by a tight market. Supply chain issues kept new cars from dealers, boosting demand for used vehicles and raising assessments used to set personal property taxes. Warren County Department of Fire and Rescue Services honors six volunteers who completed the 2021 Volunteer Fire Academy on March 23 2022. The six month program certified them in CPR First Aid Hazardous Materials Operations Firefighter Level and Level 1 plus other certs after 320 hours of study and extensive home and station work. They read over 2000 pages of textbooks and passed both written and practical state exams and live fire drills. Fire Chief James G Bonzano praised the graduates noting their readiness to serve their communities as certified firefighters. Names and station affiliations are listed in the article.
