ATV Crash Claims Life of 19 Year Old in Warren County

Virginia State Police investigated a Sunday evening crash on Howellsville Road Warren County that killed a 19 year old man. A deputy observed an ATV on Rt. 638, pursued it as it turned onto Rt. 721, then found it crashed after leaving the roadway striking a utility box and pole and overturning. The rider was ejected and not wearing a helmet. alcohol factor is unknown. The ATV was a 2014 Yamaha YFV450.

Body Found in Burning Waterlick Home

A house fire at 30 Cedar Lakes Court Waterlick Warren County reported at 6 13 Sunday left a man dead inside the single family home. Firefighters contained the blaze in 30 minutes as investigators from the Fire Marshals Office and Warren County Sheriffs Office led the inquiry with aid from Frederick County Canine and the Chief Medical Examiner. Anyone with information should contact WCSO Captain Kahle Magalis or Fire Marshal Gerry Maratico.

Avtex site to gain $40 million office complex

IT Federal LLC will invest $40 million to develop a three building office complex on about 30 acres at the 435-acre Avtex superfund site in Front Royal. The project, announced in a news release from U.S. Rep. Bob Goodlatte, is expected to create more than 600 jobs as the first development on Kendrick Lane after extensive cleanup.
