Front Royal seeks grants for Main Street Extension project
Council passes a resolution to pursue grants under the Virginia Transportation fund program for the first phase of the Main Street Extension. The town and the Economic Development Authority seek up to 650,000 in grants and must provide 150,000 in matching funds to connect the IT Federal facility with Kendrick Lane, with a second phase extending to the west end of West Main Street.

New boat landing work progressing in Warren County
Virginia Department of Transportation workers have completed pipe installation for the Myers Drive and Farms Riverview Road upgrade to a new boat landing. The landing will replace Morgan's Ford, closed for bridge work. GEI Construction crews clear, grade, and place stone for parking while county crews install the ramp. launch ready in a couple weeks.

Holding cell project nears completion
The Warren county Courthouse renovation to hold cells is about 60 percent finished, with Lantz Construction of Winchester making progress. County Administrator Doug Stanley told Front Royal Town Council that completion is expected within roughly 30 days.
