Rezoning Vote Denies Dollar General on Route 55
The Warren County board denied a rezoning request for a Dollar General amid safety and rural lifestyle concerns voiced by residents and local business owners. Henry's Grocery owner Lisa Salazar urged protection of the community character, while others cited traffic and lighting issues. The decision followed discussion, with some properties in the 522 corridor deemed available for future development. Short-term rentals were approved for two properties and denied for one, and a one year lease with The Warren Coalition was approved to support community substance abuse awareness.
