Skyline High School juvenile charged with bomb threat
A Skyline High School student was charged last week with threatening to bring an explosive device to the school. The unnamed juvenile faced a class five felony count of threats to bomb and was taken into custody at the Northwestern Regional Juvenile Detention Center. Warren County Sheriff’s Office School Resource Deputy Paul Brenner met Feb. 8 with authorities.

Signal coordination plan eyed for Winchester Road in Front Royal
The Virginia Department of Transportation plans to coordinate signals at eight intersections from Rivermont to Fairground roads to move vehicles in a tighter group and reduce travel time. Volunteer dedicates 18 years to C CAP
George Rutter began volunteering for C CAP at age 70 and continued until 88, deeming the group worthwhile for helping families with food clothing and emergency assistance.
