FRONT ROYAL February 10 Town officials approve exchanging the vacant former Town Hall for the Afton Inn in a 5-1 vote. Only council member Daryl Funk opposed citing the Town Hall as a key asset and urging preservation. the deal includes a plaque, an easement, and a three quarters vote to buy back within five years.

American Heart Month Story Highlights 911 Action
Sha ron Snapp, 65, a longtime cyclist, had a heart attack on April 23 2013 after mistaking chest pain for indigestion. An EKG indicated a heart attack and she received nitroglycerin en route to Winchester Medical Center, followed by a 5.5 hour quadruple bypass. She will speak at a Samuels Public Library program on early heart attack care.
