Public hearing for 604 acres of FLRP land annexation planned
A public hearing is set for 7 30 p m Feb 18 at the Warren County Government Center on a voluntary settlement agreement between Front Royal and Warren County to move 604 76 acres owned by Front Royal Limited Partnership from the county into Front Royal. The land between Happy Creek Road and I 66 hosts a planned 818 home development. The Jan 6 report urges a two party VSA and potential Circuit Court petition for approval. Preliminary Leach Run Parkway design plans will be shown March 5 at the Warren County Community Center. For details call the EDA at 540 635 2182. County OKs boundary adjustment could move 84 acres south of Happy Creek Road into the town to include land for the Parkway and hospital. The cost of hearings is about 381 with shared costs. The Circuit Court action requires approval from both sides.
