Arrests reported in Front Royal December police blotter

Front Royal police list arrests from December 11 to 17 including Marty Anderson 41 of West 11th Street charged on misdemeanor warrants. Christine Ballard 49 of West 14th Street for damage to personal property. William Deavers 51 for profane swearing or public intoxication. Michael Diaz 22 for driving without a license and hit and run of unattended property. Several others with assorted misdemeanor and felony charges and court dates are noted, with locations including Warren and surrounding counties.

Valley Health plans new hospital campus amid relocation

Valley Health will replace the 65 year old North Shenandoah Avenue hospital with a 28 acre campus on 150 acres purchased in 2008 for 2.6 million. Ob obstetric services will be excluded. Winchester Medical Center will handle high risk pregnancy and NICU care. State review for the Certificate of Public Need begins January with a June decision expected.

Pedestrian Struck Death Third This Year in Front Royal

Turner’s death marks the third pedestrian fatality by a vehicle this year with January’s earlier incidents. Front Royal Police were aided by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Warren County Fire and Rescue, and the Front Royal Public Works Department.
