Early season snowmaking knits Bryce and Massanutten openings
Bryce Resort in Basye and Massanutten Resort near Harrisonburg began snowmaking early for Thanksgiving weekend. Bryce aims a soft opening with Red Eye and Bootlegger trails for tubing skiing and snowboarding, while Massanutten readies Creekside Quad Ridge Triple and Sunkid lifts. Both rely on cold weather as they have opened only a handful of times on Thanksgiving in decades.
