Warren County Sheriff's Summer Youth Camp Brings Joy to Local Kids
The 11th annual Warren County Sheriff's Summer Youth Camp was held the first week of August at the Northern Virginia 4-H Center. Campers Ashlynn and Caitlyn Rankin age 11 praised activities from canoeing to zip lining, while Aaron Lawson enjoyed fried chicken and fishing. Sheriff Daniel McEathron started the camp to foster positive community ties, noting the program expanded from day camp to an overnight format with about 40 campers and 10 counselors, funded solely by donations from sponsors.
