Front Royal Again Named Tree City USA

Front Royal earned Tree City USA status for the 18th year, one of 55 Virginia communities recognized by the Arbor Day Foundation. Mayor Tim Carr read a congratulatory letter from U.S. Sen. Mark Warner, applauding the town’s Tree Stewards for their efforts. The designation rests on four criteria including a tree board, tree-care ordinance, community forestry program with at least $2 per capita, and an annual Arbor Day observance.
