Railroad Survey Aims Toward Columbia From Troquois
Surveyors for the Hawarden line move northwest from Troquois toward Columbia with the Redfield and Watertown line as a reference. They report reaching the cross line near Hastings three miles east of Frankfort and anticipate crossing the Bel field and Watertown branch on the 61st to 62nd range line. If Columbia becomes the objective, the route would pass near Semmer post office and between Rosem and Beotia, crossing the Milwaukee line near Bath.
