The latest pension commission report shows 365 782 beneficiaries nationwide drawing 62 797 821 62 annually. It notes 11 539 survivors and 12 297 widows of the war of 1812, with 43 086 names added to the rolls in the year. Dakota lists 3 008 pensioners totaling 26 222 83 monthly, Brown County reports 125 recipients including invalids, dependents, widows and a minor with monthly totals of 1 112.
