Minot Real Estate Man G J Coughlin Dies in Chicago
G J Coughlin president of National Land and Adjustment Co of Minot died in Garfield Park hospital Chicago after five days illness from influenza. He moved to Chicago with wife and eight year old daughter to spend winter with relatives. Survived by North Dakota relatives who were summoned to his bedside. He was known for real estate ventures including Albon Park Manor and Western Bankers Investment Co and founded National Land and Adjustment Co. Funeral details pending. He was a Knights of Columbus member and active Catholic. Christmas observances by Knights Templar held at Masonic Temple with Eminent Commander Frank P Taylor in charge.

Kopald Electric Co has won the city contract to install twenty eight white way posts on the new steel viaduct in Minot. Work starts April 1 with ten on the approach to the Great Northern depot and eighteen along the viaduct. Posts will bear three lights each. The railway pays ten lights, the city eighteen. Kopald Bros previously installed White Way in Eastwood Park and on lower Central avenue. Jos Kopald leads construction. Oscar Crane is office manager. Both Kopald brothers are in the war.

The evening featured dancing and cards with refreshments.

Ward County Pioneer Mrs Moor Dies After Illness
Mrs Alive Dewain Moor aged 77 a Ward county resident died Saturday in the city from a year long illness. She lived in North Dakota 30 years with her husband James Moore who died 18 years ago. Born in Ireland in 1841 she married in Manchester England. The Moores moved to the United States in 1864 then Minnesota 1873 and Minot 1884 before settling at White Earth. Surviving are fourteen grandchildren and seven children including Mrs Kite Raw Musson Alice Melanger Jones Moore Frank Moore Mary Butler Thomas Moore and Margaret Balvey. Funeral was held Monday at Sts Palesy church with burial at Roschil cemetery.
