Arrest of Hazel Squires in Williston Petty Larceny Case
Hazzy McKinney Squires is under arrest in Williston North Carolina charged with petty larceny. Deputy McKay and James Hobbins took the young woman into custody after a complaint by her mother in law. She allegedly took various pieces of fancy work belonging to Mrs W I Squires. The case awaits Justice Poe. Previously arrested for stealing skirts from a hotel closet, she was released on bond signed by her husband.

Clarence O. Jones Dies Near Minot After Illness
Clarence O. Jones, a prominent local farmer near the old Logan post office ten miles southeast of Minot, died at Mrs. Thornton’s home at 3 on Wednesday morning after a long illness. He was unmarried and leaves his father and mother. Born March 15, 1849 in Weathersfield Springs New York, he came to South Dakota and then North Dakota twenty five years ago, settling in Ward County. Funeral at Presbyterian church with Rev. William later officiating, internment in Rosehill Cemetery. He was known for stock raising and farming and was regarded as a man of sterling qualities.

Mrs Henry Johnson aged 6 percent corrected Thursday died from injuries sustained in the Williston cyclone. She was hurt about the head with broken ribs. Alfred LeGore Killed by Lightning in Storm
Alfred LeGore about 60, living twelve miles south of Tagus, was killed by lightning last Monday evening while in the yard with his two sons. The boys were rendered unconscious but recovered. LeGore had just returned from Minot after final proof on his land and leaves two sons and a married daughter in Wisconsin. The remains were shipped to Wisconsin to rest beside his wife. Our heartfelt sympathy goes to the mourning relatives.
