Speed Boys First Win Over Wakefield in Seven Years
The Bessemer Speed Boys defeated the Wakefield Cardinals 62-46 in a Michigan Wisconsin Conference opener. Led by Brian Ciesielczyk with 25 points and strong support from Begalle and Farrow, Bessemer seized control after a close start and built a 43-28 edge by the third quarter.

Mrs John Howe Feted At Farewell Party
Mrs John Howe of Plymouth location was sent off with a farewell party before moving to Ann Arbor to live with her son in law and daughter Mrs Nick Geneva and Pam. She will reside at Village Green Apartments 1831 Lake Lila Drive in Apr building No 5. She worked five years for Dr Lester Medford as an insurance clerk and secretary and was active in community affairs. Mr and Mrs Timothy Williams are renting her Plymouth home.

Winter Snowfall and Local Repairs Report
Snow began Monday night with about one inch by Tuesday morning and 30 degree highs. Area snow since Nov 20 totals 23 inches, much melted by mild temperatures. Early season snow fell Oct 27 one half inch, Nov 7 one half inch, Nov 8 about 2 inches, by Nov 10 total seven inches. Last year at this time about 62 inches.
