Wakefield Schools appoint Mrs. William A. Knaack Ramsay as art instructor in Wakefield Township Schools. Mrs. Knaack, former Charlotte DalPonte of Ramsay, studied at Gogebic Community College and Northern Michigan University, began teaching November 7. Funeral services for Celeste L L Beber Jr 57 of 1205 Hancock St were held Friday at 9 am at Immaculate Conception Church with Rev Roland Dion officiating Burial was at Lakeside Cemetery Beber born October 28 1909 attended Wakefield schools member of Immaculate Conception Church he worked since 1940 for the City of Wakefield as custodian at the Memorial Building a fireman and later a truck driver He married Bertha Jakkola August 29 1933 she survives with a daughter Bette two sons Thomas and Timmy three grandchildren his mother seven sisters and one brother were listed City offices closed and flag at half mast in his honor.

Peter Salo, 71, died Wednesday morning at 6:00 a.m. at Divine Infant Hospital after a one day stay. Lakeside Memorial Chapel will be open for visitation Friday at 5 p.m. Funeral services are set for Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel.
