New Folks In Town Welcome Fetters Family To Wakefield
Mr and Mrs Richard Fetters and their three year old daughter Vicki are new residents in Wakefield since November 1. Mrs Fetters is the former Marsha Luoma who grew up here while Mr Fetters studied in Hubbard Ohio and later Columbus. They previously lived in Milwaukee and now attend First Lutheran Church. The family plans to skate and perhaps ski this winter and enjoys reading knitting fishing swimming and bowling.

Celeste Beber age 57 of 1205 Hancock Street died Wednesday morning at Divine Infant Hospital after reporting for work at the City garage and becoming ill. Funeral services will be held Friday at Immaculate Conception Church Wakefield. Mr and Mrs Walfred Perkin of San Pedro California visiting relatives in Wakefield before continuing trips to Pontiac and Kalamazoo.

Acting Postmaster Tiberi in Wakefield outlines airlift rules for first class mail and small parcels up to 5 pounds and 60 inches combined, to overseas military post offices. Wakefield Board Approves Honor Students Plan Change
The Wakefield Townships Schools board unanimously approves a new honor designation. Beginning with the class of 1967 all students with a 3.0 GPA or above will be named honor students and those with 3.5 or above graduate with high honors. The plan aims to reflect merit rather than ranking. The meeting also raises the 1966-67 teacher salary increment and discusses the school nurse contract, ski team sponsorship, and potential outdoor skating rink. The boiler conversion bid date is set for December 12 and PL 89-10 projects will continue with nondistrict compensation allowed. Superintendent Kleimola may attend the MASA winter meeting in Grand Rapids.
