Tony D. Pitrone 81 died Friday at Gogebic Hospital where he had been a patient for three years. Born March 26 1885 in Messina Italy he came to the United States in 1900 settling in Negaunee and had resided here since 1922. He operated a barber shop and worked at the Sunday Lake Mine as a motor man until retirement. Surviving are six daughters and one son, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with pallbearers named.

Rites Held Monday For Glenn W. Cox 46
Glenn W. Cox 46 of Pike Location died Thursday at the Veterans Hospital Iron Mountain after a long illness. Born April 10 1920 in Nashville Wisconsin he lived in Wakefield most of his life. A World War II veteran he served in Europe with Company A 696th Armored Field Artillery Battalion. He married Emma Moilanen June 14 1947 and leaves two children, his parents, and four sisters.

The Mixed Chorus includes 24 girls and 15 boys meeting three days weekly, with officers Dan Hendrickson, Bob Lumsden, Jack Berga. The Girls Glee Club has 48 girls meeting on noons TueThu with Bonnie Seppa as accompanist and officers Bonnie Seppa, Carolyn Wanink, Henee Dillon, Jane Aho. Seaman Robert M. Liuha observed the 11th anniversary of the carrier Forrestal at Norfolk Naval Shipyard Portsmouth Virginia. Forrestal the first keel angled deck carrier measures 1039 feet and 78000 tons with 255 foot beam. She has voyaged to the Mediterranean seven times and joined NATO exercises. She helped in the Suez crisis of 1956 and Lebanon crisis of 1958. A 50 million dollar overhaul wraps up in January 1967.
