Snow bill would abolish county commissioner role in Michigan
The Snow bill proposes an elective five member county board of education to appoint a county superintendent of schools and deputy, with salaries and budget set by the new board. If city population leads, three members from city and two from county, or vice versa. Support from educators across Michigan hailed as modernization, with officials like Deland Davis and Otto Haisley backing the measure.
